As a teenage Sunni Muslim, it’s important that I have the etiquettes of being beautiful, not only on the outside, but on the inside as well (having a clean heart, having good manners, dressing nicely, etc.). Now, let’s break this down: first, we’ll start with dressing nicely. Yes, we as Muslims should dress very nicely (makeup is not fully required, but it’s up to you). When we dress good, we feel good about ourselves. But sometimes, that’s not me. Usually, I would say that “I don’t care about how I look sometimes” or “I don’t really need to take pride in my appearance”, but now, I’m learning more that dressing accordingly would make me feel more confident about myself. HIGH SELF-CONFIDENCE!! Anyways, the next thing we’re gonna talk about is having good manners. We as Muslims are supposed to have good character (especially good manners, YES) even if we have bad days. Now, there are lots of people who don’t have good manners sometimes and that’s fine. That’s in THEIR control, not mine. If they want to act so mean to others, then that’s their life. I’ma stay out of it. NOW, for the final event/last thing I’m going to talk about, it’s (drum roll please)……………HAVING A CLEAN HEART!!! That would mean being clean on the outside (in my perspective, of course). Usually, I don’t like being that clean because I don’t think that it’s that serious, but I may have been wrong. Actually, matter of fact, I WAS WRONG!!!! Being clean also makes you feel good about yourself. In the Islamic perspective, Allah loves cleanliness.
It’s like half of our deen (religion). I didn’t really know about it that much, but now I know. And that concludes another story/episode of the “A Khadijah Khoule Perspective” series. Thank you very much and hope you have a very great day……..!
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “In Jannah there is a market to which the people will come every Friday. The northern wind will blow and shower fragrance on their faces and clothes and, consequently, it will enhance their beauty and loveliness. They will then return to their wives who will also have increased in their beauty and loveliness, and their families will say to them: ‘We swear by Allah that you have been increased in beauty and loveliness since leaving us.’ Thereupon they will reply: ‘We swear by Allah that you have also been increased in beauty and loveliness since we left you.”’ https://sunnah.com/riyadussalihin:1889
This quote right here is a perfect example of the etiquettes of being beautiful and how it greatly affects you in the future.
