Bruins Recap

Senior captain Chase Timberlake hoists Baldwin’s celebratory Nassau County Championship plaque. Timberlake, a 1000-point scorer for Baldwin High, tallied 18 points against Elmont.

Chase Timberlake, uncontested, scores late in the battle for the Nassau County crown much to the excitement of Baldwin’s onlooking bench.

Junior Ethan Sainsbury making good use of his often unmatched speed. Sainsbury scored 3 points for the county final, and proved indispensable against Amityville the following Tuesday, providing an additional 17 points for the Island title.

Jordan Williams, a junior, provided critical points in the game’s second half, for a total of six on the day. Pictured at the free throw line during the game’s first half.

Isaiah Lett goes up close and personal against the Spartans in the fight to maintain a close deficit. Lett’s playoff highlight came two weeks prior at South Side, leaping above Ryan Schmitt in a rally to enter the semi-final round.

With defense both in front (Jordan Cook #13) and behind him, Gabriel Phillips holds steady in an eventual ten-point performance for the highest-scoring junior of the matchup.
Lady Bruin’s Recap

Accompanied by Baldwin’s coaching staff, the Lady Bruins accept their Nassau County Championship banner and plaque for the 2024-25 season

Ajeya Nicholas leaps above all-county Trojan Marissa Patrissi as both Ava Mullally and Alyssa Polonia look ahead. Nicholas was one of four 10+ point scorers, with exactly 10 points scored.

As one of the youngest Lady Bruins, freshman Malia Robinson gets time in the hunt for a county championship–proving useful with four points scored from two field goals.

Toni Smith puts to rest the final push down the court and leaps to celebrate with her team, as the final buzzer sounds.

On a highly successful scoring day, senior Monique Echols races Garden City toward their basket, hoping to further widen the Lady Bruins’ lead.

Garden City’s Kyle Finnell slams directly against Monique Echols, luckily resulting in an injury-free interaction amid tense play. Echols score eleven points against the Trojans overall.

With sixteen points, leading scorer Payton Dulin soars toward one of her four made field goals, contributing to half of her total offensive contribution.

With Kyle Finell to her right and Lia Costa on her backside, the Trojans can only watch as Payton Dulin is untouchable on the court. The George Washington University commit completes her sixth and final year as a Varsity player with one last Nassau County (and Long Island) title to her name.
